Driver Licensing and Insurance

All BlackCarIllinois drivers are required to hold a valid Chauffeur License, issued by the City of Chicago or the State of Illinois. In addition, our drivers are required to have:

A valid driver’s license for at least one year before applying, with a clean driving record.
Proof of insurance for their vehicle at all times, with coverage of $350,000 for vehicles with up to nine passengers.

Our chauffeurs are also subject to real-time assessments through trip shadowing, where they are accompanied by a BlackCarIllinois manager to ensure they are meeting our stringent quality and service standards.

Vehicle Requirements for BlackCarIllinois Limo Service

Every vehicle in the BlackCarIllinois fleet is carefully maintained and licensed to operate within the City of Chicago. Our fleet includes Premium Sedans, Stretch Limousines, SUVs, and Sprinters, all of which meet federal and state safety standards.

Livery Vehicle Regulations: Each of our vehicles meets the licensing requirements for livery services. Rides must be prearranged, and we do not accept street hails.
Capacity Regulations: Our vehicles are licensed to carry up to nine passengers, including the driver. For larger groups, BlackCarIllinois offers charter and sightseeing vehicles as required.

Insurance and Licensing
