Terms & Conditions

By booking or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully, as they outline the rules and expectations that govern our services.

1. Booking and Reservations

  • Advance Reservations: Reservations can be made online or by phone. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability.
  • Instant Bookings: Same-day bookings are subject to availability. We will make every effort to accommodate last-minute requests, but advance notice is preferred.
  • Confirmation: All reservations will be confirmed via email or phone. Please review your confirmation details to ensure accuracy, including pick-up location, destination, date, and time.

2. Payment Policy

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Cash payments are also accepted.
  • Deposit Requirements: Some reservations, especially for larger vehicles or special events like weddings or proms, may require a deposit to confirm the booking.
  • Full Payment: Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon for corporate accounts or prearranged invoicing.
  • Corporate Accounts: Businesses with a corporate account can arrange for direct billing. Please contact us for more details on setting up an account.

3. Cancellations and Changes

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
  • No-Show Policy: If a client fails to show up without prior cancellation, the full fare will be charged.
  • Changes to Reservations: Changes to pick-up times or locations can be made without penalty, provided they are requested at least 3 hours before the scheduled time.

4. Waiting Time and Overtime Charges

  • Airport Pick-Ups: BlackCarIllinois allows a 30-minute grace period for domestic flights and a 60-minute grace period for international flights. After that, waiting time will be charged in 15-minute increments.
  • Non-Airport Pick-Ups: A 15-minute grace period is allowed for all other pick-ups. Waiting time beyond the grace period will incur additional charges based on the hourly rate of the reserved vehicle.
  • Overtime: If your reservation extends beyond the originally scheduled time, overtime charges will apply based on the vehicle’s hourly rate.

    Non-Airport and Hourly Service: A 10-minute grace period is offered for all non-airport pick-ups. Once the grace period has elapsed, the following wait time charges will apply:

    • Sedan – $1 per minute
    • Luxury SUV – $1 per minute
    • Stretch Limousine – $20 per 10 minutes
    • Stretch SUV – $25 per 10 minutes
    • Sprinter Van – $25 per 10 minutes

      • Sedan – $10/stop
      • Luxury SUV – $15/stop
      • Stretch Limo – $20/stop
      • Stretch SUV – $25/stop
      • Executive Van – $25/stop
      • Limo Bus – $30/stop

      No-show

      • A no-show fee equal to the trip cost plus 20% gratuity will be charged when the passenger fails to show at the designated location. If you cannot locate your sedan/limousine, please call 773-418-6378 to avoid a no-show billing
      • Except airports – no-show is considered after 30 minutes waiting without contact from the customer’s side
       

5. Vehicle Damage and Conduct

  • Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by them or their guests during the trip. A cleaning fee will be charged for any spills, excessive dirt, or damage caused to the interior or exterior of the vehicle.
  • Alcohol and Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all BlackCarIllinois vehicles. Consumption of alcohol is permitted only for passengers of legal drinking age. Illegal drug use is not tolerated, and any violation will result in immediate termination of the service without a refund.
  • Behavior: The safety of our drivers and passengers is our priority. Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the service, and no refund will be provided.

6. Airport Transfers

  • Flight Delays: BlackCarIllinois tracks all incoming flights, so if your flight is delayed, we will adjust your pick-up time accordingly. Please inform us of any significant delays beyond standard tracking times to ensure availability.
  • Baggage Assistance: Our chauffeurs are happy to assist with loading and unloading your luggage. However, BlackCarIllinois is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items.

7. Insurance and Liability

  • Liability: BlackCarIllinois and its chauffeurs are fully insured, but we are not liable for any damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle during or after the ride. Passengers are encouraged to check the vehicle before exiting to ensure all personal items are accounted for.
  • Accidents or Unforeseen Events: In the event of an accident, mechanical breakdown, or any unforeseen circumstances, BlackCarIllinois will provide a replacement vehicle when possible or refund any unused portion of the fare. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from delays or service failures beyond our control (such as weather, traffic, or road closures).

8. Chauffeur Responsibilities

  • Professional Conduct: All of our chauffeurs are trained professionals who follow strict safety standards and provide the highest level of customer service. Our drivers are responsible for adhering to all traffic laws and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
  • Punctuality: Our chauffeurs aim to arrive at the pick-up location at least 10 minutes early to ensure timely departures.
  • Route Changes: Clients may request specific routes during the trip, but the chauffeur reserves the right to choose the safest and most efficient route based on traffic conditions.

9. Lost and Found

  • Personal Items: BlackCarIllinois is not responsible for any lost or forgotten items left in the vehicle. If you leave something behind, please contact us immediately, and we will do our best to locate and return the item.
  • Holding Period: Found items will be kept for a period of 30 days. After this time, unclaimed items may be donated or discarded.

  • Data Collection: BlackCarIllinois respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We collect necessary details such as names, contact information, and payment data only for the purposes of processing bookings and improving customer service.

11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

BlackCarIllinois reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is the client’s responsibility to review these terms periodically.
